Body stamping is wrong, it may well be a tri cone but there is no connection to National with this one,

National cosmopolitan 1124B circa 1956 in lovely original condition, the only concession to modernity is new strings. Chunky straight neck, all electrics original tone & volume pots, knobs & switch selector, tuners all original and not far off being as good as new. The only bad is the headstock logo is a distant memory although the original outline remains and I have seen replacements available on the interweb. I have new commissions in the pipeline and it is time to de clutter, only one pair of hands and too many guitars for every day of the week. I will upload some images later (Done) I have taken the liberty of including a shot of Marks wonderful book, if you do not have a copy get ordering !!! I encourage personal inspection and collection and may even through in a free cup of tea alas if you cannot make it I will ship parcelforce 24hrs in a non original gig bag, and packed to death. Photo's to follow later today when the digital camera is recharged £1235.00

I get why you guessed Kes because of the Steve Phillips connection but it is Daisy Tempest, www.tempestguitars.com/aboutAs I think we have a few Female luthiers in this area (south East) Daisy (East London), Rosie in Surrey and Celine in London, if you know the story of the Kalamazoo girls it aint a bad thing. I have the catalogue and may pop up to see the preview although there is nothing that I think I will be able to afford but always interesting to see the tools of the trade and the associated stories, there are other talks and presentations going on to support the associated guitar trade, a talk?Demo by an up and coming female luthier who's name escapes me as I type this (Rosie??) irrespective all good stuff.

Dave Hole was another chap from Down under, with a quirky over the neck style

I thought Jeff Lang but his voice is possibly not in the range you remember, who knows, Jeff is Australian, also CW Stoneking who sounds like he was from the 30's.

I had one of the lollar valco pickups in a Godin coodercaster a few guitars back, very good indeed and assuming they are the same magnets you will not be disappointed. Lee Michael here is your old case (the grey one) the creme contains my oahu and your case houses one of an old batch of unfinished Hofner lapsteels that I am slowly assembling

Well people can here it in the flesh which counts for a lot, previous guitars I have sold gathered momentum when a video or soundclip was available.
Good luck although I do not think you will need it.

I would like to see one in the flesh as the photo makes it look a size, I have an original Leno and hardly ever capo but a professional on the road would need all the advantages so lets feel the width when I get the chance.

Set it up without the cover plate to see what is happening with the strings at the nut and bridge as Marshcat says, also tailpiece and tuners and internal sound posts all react at different resonances/pitch, when the cover plate goes back on that also changes things as strengthens the body, the soldered ribs and mesh to the rear of the coverplate is also worthy of inspection. Good luck, where are you for luthier recommendations if it requires more than you try Lee
