I do know what I am doing but sadly all the non metric keys I have were made for internal truss rods (Marti, Collings) or metric .I only asked because at one time NRP'S came with a truss rod tool. The guitar came from 2004

Hi, I was trying to avoid having another thing roun the house that I will only need to use once>I have truss rod tools that fit all my other guitars but they work from the inside. It would seem a waste to buy something from the US that I will use just once (and its not for me,I have a friend who has a NRP that needs a tweak)

If you can buy fake Shure microphones that seem like the real thing till you plug them in then strings would be easy.Try MM Strings(I dont think they would be worth faking as the market is so small)I know someone in trading standards who has seized razor blades that will cut your face to shreds &cycle helmets that offer no protection so at least duff strings are safe

Hi, I like open G minor ,2nd string down half a tone , that way you can get a major with a half tone bend behind the bar

If you are playing with a slide ,try tuning your guitar to G6 (4th string up a tone)you gett a very old time country sound.Think Don Helms with Hank Williams

How strong are your hands.I have done that sort of thing on a telecaster with fairly light strings but it involves some quite drastic bends(there is a book by Arlen Roth on the subject) you could get some steal like bends playing lap style by bending behind the bar

No sign of glue on the underside of the cone & the glue or whatever was only present in places & was so thick in places that the the cone was uneven in the sound well.

I had to take my model 62 Serenader apart as the screw that holds the spider to the cone was not doing anything, sorted that out but in doing so found something thing strange. On the well where the cone rests there were random lines of thick brown glue or something (random thickness) up to 1/8 of an inch .This stuff was so hard that I had to use Emery cloth and the end of a screw driver to get it of (It wasn't gluing the cone in place,it was just there.Having got rid of it the sound improved hugely ,more Bass ,louder overall and more sustain .I am very happy with it now but ask myself why.
