And the sun's out.
Apologies for whatever I linked to there. I have no idea what that was about and my YouTube is playing silly with me. It should have been MJH, now (hopefully) corrected. Y'all must have thought I'd gone mad but I promise it wasn't my doing.

Very interesting. Use it or lose it I guess.
A dear friend who is no more used to draw a link between my morse code sending abilities albeit as a relative newbie, and the fact that I "played" a musical instrument. That was over thirty years ago now. Going by that second link, I reckon he should have been a research scientist instead of a buyer for The Central Electricity Generating Board!

I've played on that instrument and it's a dear little pip squeak of a guitar with a lively chirrup, but importantly played here sensitively too.

It played fine for me but I had to download rather than stream it. Nice playing from both BTW.

Good spot Pete. When I occasionally dance up the neck with the Blackbird routine, it can tend to sound angry at the dusty end which I suppose is largely due to my inaccuracy in tuning more than intonation per-se, but either he didn't play it on that guitar or he is an exceptionally capable player. My money's on a bit of both.

Rick has the respect of some real heavyweight musical dignitaries, and he's no slouch on guitar either as well as the underlying musical theory (and piano too for that matter). I've been subscribed since just after he started his channel- a good guy. Derek has somewhat more to contribute here and presents as an easy interviewee. Susan's not around I suppose ...

What'll really bake your noodle is that if you have Admin privileges, it's apparently possible to ban yourself (curiosity has never got the better of me!)

Methinks that Pete doth undersell himself somewhat! I would entrust my Blightning to him in a heartbeat.

Difficult one this, I just really liked Ben's version which it seems to me was only ever posted as one man's interpretation. Although I can understand there are niceties that the cognoscenti would have a handle on, I'm not really bothered one way or another, and it seems to me that this forensic analysis on subtle emphasis only detracts from a fine rendition, and I don't believe the OP intended to garner such a response- just a willingness to share. Call me a coward if you like, but this is exactly why my one and only solitary "recording" which is on YouTube remains "by invitation only". I always end up liking what Ben does and look forward to his next opus.
