Good one Pete. Everything comes to he who waits (and is deserving!)

Point well made and taken too Michael, but it doesn't alter my opinion, probably because I haven't devoted my life to The Blues. Anyone remember Lenny's "Katanga my friend, Katanga"? Nice guy and all that, no contest but a journeyman nonetheless.
Have a good time in Zagreb MM.

From my own perspective, it was worth it just to see Jeff Beck play, reminding us of his command across so many genres, which doesn't say very much for "the turn". I'm the first person to find such stuff idiotic, but offensive? Nope. I like to think most decent folk rise above such basic intelligence hemorrhages, I'll leave that to the little englanders who have served up such sour broth over the last five years, but coming from someone who appears to have forged a recent career dining out on the race card, for me it is ironically "Pot-Kettle-Black".

The Pete that I thought I "knew" would have made one, or etched a new one. I once had a similar issue with a broken centre pull brake spring and was lost for what to do. At the behest of a work colleague I made one to replace it from a side pull brake spring that he donated. I hope you come up trumps Pete but if not, you know what to do!

Will the ABS cases fit a 12 fret biscuit bridge as well as the fiddle edges?

Since I acquired my reso, I have watched others with finger picks with slight jealousy, and I've certainly been drawn to and recognised the sounds that they draw from the instruments, but I'm another one who cannot get on with all that digital scaffolding. I have come to accept that while I'm "playing", my pleasure comes from my ability to play the things I can and I forget all about about peer group proclivities whilst so engaged. That's why I have avoided handing out the pickin' gospel according to me. The advice given by those who CAN actually "walk the walk" is both valuable and stalwart.
The only thing that I'll stick my neck out and say is that cobalt plated finger picks have a definite slippery feel over the strings compared to the commonly available picks. Good luck finding them though- I wish I'd bought four when I acquired mine.

I installed a stereo end pin jack socket in my MM B(/L) some thirteen years ago now to feed an internal DPA 4xxx series electret levalier microphone. It actually sounded pretty good after several failed internal location experiments. I relieved the superfluous neck stick behind the conewell ledge using a snapped off saw blade to make room for the jack barrel. About 20 mm IIRC. It took ages to get through working with wrist bent through the conewell. Prior inspection mirror gymnastics revealed that the end pin block had originally been about 5 mm short of the neck stick anyway, so I ceremonially launched it. The pundits warned me of the impending doom of the top buckling up and collapsing. Having been a sheet metal worker I uncharacteristically ignored that sage advice. To this day the instrument remains rock solid which is testament to the quality of the MM brand. A certain well known luminary complemented my MM's sound at a Gloucestershire slide / blues workshop. Maybe a wood body would depend more upon an end pin block, but it is not unreasonable to expect such a block to bear down on the end of the neck stick in my view. With mine, it only served as a purchase for the strap peg attachment screw.
As someone wrote in the finger picks thread- "there are no rules", to which I would add "only perpetuated mêmes", although I guess if you have a vintage tin can you might think twice and with some justification.

Nice work Pete. Years ago I "built" a signature Tele which required "interference" press fit cubic zirconia side dot markers. Literally as cheap as chips on eBay, and they catch any available light from all directions ... Left very slightly proud and they are tactile too. I lacquered over the top of them to add to their installation security.

+10!
The distinction between those "luthiers" who bolt together guitars and Luthiers who work timber. Looking forward to a piccie of the job when finished.

"Former glory" kind of implies an older (pre Asian) Guild, so kudos for going with a neck reset on such a Guild calvoi.

Even Jimmy with his eponymous Lester wiring topography would be stumped by Pete's Smorgasbord palette of audio nirvana. Insufficient necks anyhoo.

Excellent!
I especially like the Pete T Pat. Pend. schematic where "ground" is at both the top and the bottom (not that it matters")

Looks the business for a second build Pete. Was the humbucker still bucking the hum after you diverted one coil to the tone control? I'm trying to visualise the topography! Oh and yep, you've anticipated well. It's like chasing the toan dragon, and although the journey is great the arrival is bittersweet as you acknowledge that a few great "tone" birds in the hand are worth more than "a dozen in the bush" ... (!)
