No I already have enough guitars, but you have to remember on the hammer price add another 24%!!!
I could not make the auction but have enjoyed previous excursions there.
Sometimes there are bargains and sometimes the auctioneer raises a good price for the vendor (thats what it,s all about), the thrill of the auction I guess.
Next one is September.

I was the custodian of this guitar prior to Kris, it is a fantastic guitar, whoever buys it will be very happy.

All of the guitars there are rubbish, do not bid!!!
Only joking of course I have bought a few too many guitars amps and pedals from these guys, but I can not speak highly enough of the team there, and yes you do need to visit the auction to make sure you are happy with what you buy.
Kris has just listed on the forum a National model D that I got from the auction a few years back, we did some horse trading and he took it off me, it is top drawer and as good as new, so keep an eye out for future guitars etc from Gardiner Houlgate.
I am hoping to visit the auction but have a lot on at the moment and too many instruments so I need to remind myself that there is nothing that I really need (other than a bargain!!!)

Blake Mills on the slide, he has a nice collection of Coodercasters, there is some good stuff on Youtube featuring him.

Good article although bending the spider legs is not something I would attempt. A true flat surface, with a large area of Glass/sanding abraisive, mark the underside of the spider with felt tip and gently true the spider on the flat surface with the abraisive paper until all legs are showing equal contact. Not too difficult but worth the effort.

Fraulini guitars all day long, a 2nd hand one recently changed hands from a forum member, so keep your eyes peeled they are out there.
Collings makes the Waterloo guitars, made to look downtrodden, Fraulini look like a new guitar before the player puts the mileage on.
Otherwise there are some great 2nd hand guitars out there from older manufacturers.

I recently took my brass bullet slide to Australia & back, they were more interested in the electronic tuner next to it in the hand luggage, if in doubt take a glass or ceramic slide.
Always a good way to engage and find out who is into music, when you explain what the items are.
