The BBC did promise to make all online content available to everyone (for a fee) but that hasn't materialised yet though! You can however listen to most BBC radio on BBC iplayer for free, including the excellent Radio 6.

Hello Harriet, the add-on which the link refers to is not available any longer. Do you (or any other member of this forum) have a tool which works with Firefox or Opera? Though Great Britain is a member of the European Community we have no access to a lot of British media in Germany or France or Austria or any other country in continental Europe. I tried some Proxy switchers but they all seem to work only for a short time. The problem is, the BBC only allows licence payers to see their content. This is floored though because they exclude licence payers who may spend time out of GB, but they don't exclude non licence payers who live in GB. This is not a European thing, it's just the BBC being behind the times!

even if it was a black kid, at that age to play and sing like that is amazing! All I can think is that a family member plays very well in that exact style and this boy can just copy perfectly!

you've got a bit of a unique guitar there Alex, it could be a colectors piece in years to come if left original! Otherwise a tin of Hamerite!!

Square would definately trap the airflow. I recon an oval violin would be fine, except for reduced bow access. But then why not a guitar shaped violin? What came first, the violin or the guitar? It's all evolution. Different designs, different sounds, it depends what you're striving for!

Just took the area of 2 circles about the sizes of the upper and lower bouts added them together, multiplied by the depth of a guitar and subtracted a bit. I did say "Very" roughly!

I recon the volume of an acoustic would be (very) roughly 15000cc or 15L.

Surely they can't be 50kg! They'd have to be solid steel.

I love the wedding busker pic. I remember my brother going off to a wedding looking just like that in our mum's Fiat 500! Early / mid 70's!
