I have just bought a prototype version of the Michael messer blues '28, I am looking forward to it arriving but I am intending to repaint both the body and the coverplate. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to repaint it?, I was thinking about going all black?
Also, what are the best, durable paints that will work for the body and the coverplate?
Thanks

I use car spray paints, and then clear lacquer. I'm reasonably OK at it now, but I wouldn't have attempted my first spray job on a quality guitar. TT

you've got a bit of a unique guitar there Alex, it could be a colectors piece in years to come if left original! Otherwise a tin of Hamerite!!

I repainted my MM Blues probably the same color as yours is, if it that yellow type color with palm tree stencil, personally i would leave it as it is, its unique, bods right it will be be a collectors piece in years to come wolvoboy

one suggestion, if you do paint it make sure that the paint and the guitar are room temperature before you spray it, wolvoboy
