Supro/Valco had nothing to do with this Guyatone steel guitar. It looks like the water damage to the case also affected the fretboard.
I wish you good luck with the sale. It should be a nice sounding instrument.

Here's an interesting look at the history of microphones: coutant.org/12mics/I'd guess it's almost impossible to say which specific mics were used for a specific session almost 100 years ago, especially in the "race" musical genre.

Todd Clinesmith ( www.clinesmithinstruments.com) is famous for both is high quality resonator guitars and his Bigsby inspired electric lap steels. He is a victime of the Oregon fires and lost his shop with everything in it. See bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=361836 for his statement. Mike Neer has set up a GoFundMe for him to get back on his feet. gf.me/u/yyhm7t if you're able to contribute. If this is inappropriate, please remove. Otherwise please consider contributing to keeping a fine luthier going.

When I was at Resosummit in Nashville one year, it was close to Halloween. I bought a bag of assorted chocolates and used a similar cone as a candy dish.
Turn it over before putting the candy in.

As noted in this thread in the Steel Guitar Forum: bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=358616Lorene Ruymar was a well known Hawaiian steel guitarist who compiled and edited one of the great books on the instrument, The Hawaiian Steel Guitar (and its great Hawaiian Musicians).
