Hi,Beware !!!!!! Musical instruments are excluded from Parcelforce insurance. You can pay extra for insurance but, if you try to claim, you are told that it is your responsibility to find out what is on the exclusion list. Not only do they not pay out, they won't even refund the price of the insurance! The exclusion list is fairly well hidden on their website in the terms and conditions.

Hi, remember that, if you have a PA system, whatever venue you choose will need a music licence (under the new restrictive licensing act). If you are performing acoustically, there is an acoustic exemption in the act. If you need a PA, the venue will either have to have a licence or apply in advance for a tempoary one. As to Old Leigh, I think that there is a Blues Club in Ship on Friday nights.

You have to appreciate any guitar for itself. MM guitars are undoubtably good value and have the best sound of any of the cheaper resos on the market. In fact, the MM blues that I had was more responsive and sounded better than some NRP guitars. That being said, the fingerboard and paint work were a bit rough, and I don't think that NRP would have let it out of there factory like that. In fact, I think that construction-wise the new NRP single cones may be better made than my old National style O (don't sound as good though). I think that the best made single cone that I own is an old brass bodied Beltona single cone, and the fit and finish on that is wonderful.

Hi, I once owned a NRP single cone guitar which had a slightly undersized sound well (The cone was being chocked), and although I bought the guitar second hand, when I asked for some advise from NRP, Don Young phoned me from the US and offered to spin me a couple of cones to fit. When I enquired as to cost (this being a secondhand instrument), he told me to just send him the postage. I would challenge anyone to find such good service from any other major maker. I had an MM blues briefly and liked it much better than a Delphi that I once had (very very heavy), but sadly I had a reaction to the paint.
