Hello Michael, now my guitar is repaired. The luthier strengthen the guitar inside with a small block of wood. It works good. Thank you for your help!
Best regards

Hello Michael, thank you for your help! I think it is better to take down the strings , or? I don't know if I known an experienced resonator guitar repairer. In Cologne there is a big shop called "Musicstore". They are selling also resonator guitars. Do you think it must be an especially resonator guitar repairer? Or is it enough to bring the guitar to a luthier?

Hello, recently my guitar felt down. Several weeks later I heard that something creaked when I played (with guitar strap). I saw a small split between the neck and the body. I don't know if something is broken. The strings stay in tune.

Hello, I'd like to buy a glass bottleneck. Which effect does the wall thickness have to the sound? Does more wall thickness produce more sustain?

Hello, in three weeks I'll fly to India. Does anyone know if it is possible to take my reso into the airoplane (as hand luggage)? I think the security agency can not x-ray the metal body of the guitar.

Hello, how can I find the right intonation (the right place of the cone) when I put a cone back into the guitar? Which are the steps I must take ( First ..., second ..., ...)
Thank you!

Hello, I have bought my Republic Duolian in June 2011 with aged finish but because of the sweat the paint begins to spall. On many parts of the guitar the chrome appears. Now I'm trying remove the finish with polish. It works good. My question: Is it possible that this would change the sound of the guitar?

Hi Michael, I'd like to buy your CD "Play the blues". But when I go to musicroom.com I read that is not available online. How can I get your CD?

Hello, I under-string it because I heard it would improve the sustain. How can I make the slots for the strings in the saddle? They need different sizes. When you see the 2nd picture, the corner of the tailpiece does not touch the cover plate there (right part of the picture). Is this ok? Thank you.

Hello, thank you for all your comments. I hope this picture will be better. Another problem is that there is no right angle between the saddel and the biscuit. I can not change the saddle because it's fixed with glue. Frank from Republic said that's irrelevant. This problem was before I under strung the strings. When I will change the biscuit I don't know how I can file the slots in the saddle. I don't have the tools I need for this. The pressure of the strings are not so heavy because the guitar is tuned in open F (C, F, C, F, A, C). Dirk Attachments:

Hi Chris, it's a Republic Duolian Style # 804 with a National cone. I under strung it because I read that it advance the sustain of the guitar. The tailpiece touches the cover plate. Only a small part at the right and left side of the tailpiece does not touch the cover plate. I don't know how it was before I under strung it.
