Hello, how can I find the right intonation (the right place of the cone) when I put a cone back into the guitar? Which are the steps I must take ( First ..., second ..., ...)
Thank you!

Hi Dirk,
This depends on what type of guitar you have, but as a general rule with resonator guitars - the distance from the 12th fret to the bridge saddle should be the same as the nut to 12th fret plus 2mm.
I hope that helps

Hi Dirk,
On a Republic 12 fret guitar the extra 2mm should be built into the guitar body, as these are not the same spec as a National Duolian. Republic guitars are not the same as my own MM guitars, so I can only give you a calculated guess. If there are problems with the way that particular guitar was assembled, it may be quite difficult to get the intonation accurate.
If you want to do it by ear - just put the cone as far back as it will go in the soundwell and keep edging it forward while testing notes up the fretboard with a tuner. You will never get it as good as a modern acoustic, but you should be able to find an acceptable point.
I hope this is helpful to you..
