Hi everyone, I think it would be useful to all of us to know where forum members are based. There have been a few posts recently by members asking for local guitar repairers & looking for people to meet up with to play music. So this information would be helpful. Another reason for finding out where forum members and visitors are based is because I have been thinking about putting an event together where we could all meet for a day. There could be instruments and accessories exhibited and some performances, classes and lectures. This is something that I have wanted to do for a while, but not done anything about making it happen. Maybe 2009 is the time to start! Please leave a message with your thoughts on this, and some detail of whereabouts in the world you are based. We don't need an address, just the town or the county, and if not in the UK, country. As we have members all over the world it would be helpful to put more than just the name of the country you live in. Thanks. I think this will be helpful to all of us. Shine On Michael

Nice one Michael I'm well up for it, so it's still Bromsgrove, Worcestershire (right in-between Worcester & Brum). If your good self or anyone need any recommendations for places to hold such an event - i know a couple, no problem Slide On! Ian.

I'm in Runcorn near Liverpool. It might be useful if people updated their profiles to indicate their location.

;D Terrific Idea - speaking for Lucy and myself. Would love a get-together. I could envisage camras and video cams being in use! Burnley, Lancashire but will travel!!

Hi There
New to the guitar in general and just started learning. My musical interests lie with blues, zydeco and a whole bunch of weird stuff, so that is my ultimate aim. Been enjoying reading the board for the last few days, learnt a lot.
Cheers Ben (Walsall, UK)
