I'm in Skipton, North Yorkshire.
Its known as the Gateway to the Yorkshire Dales. Though some refer to it as more like a Trademens Entrance!
There a few of us filling the void twixt North and South

Top notch notion, Michael! It would be great to meet up with all (well, most! Um, any...) of the forum members. I'm in sunny Shipley, West Yorkshire, in between Bradford and Keighley. I also have a number of what might be suitable rooms around here: Victoria Hall Saltaire has rooms for rent of various sizes; Otley Courthouse is another. Or can we all meet up in Growler's back garden in the summer? ;D
Cheerily,
Gerry C

Oh well it looks as though the best place for the big MM Forum members' get-together is over here in West Cork!!! ;D ;D

Hello All, I'm at Ashford in Middlesex (IE, not Kent) I agree that this is a good idea. Many members (including myself ) have included this information in the relevant field in their profile. Perhaps this could be required information upon signing up to The Forum? Good luck, Stevie.

Hi there !
No one else in Scotland ?? I'm in Edinburgh (well, just outside, nowadays !)
I'd vote for a meeting in Scotland (on personal grounds) and for London, if I have to travel (at least I could visit the hallowed grounds of Denmark Street and popping in to say hello to Celine in Dave King's workshop).

This is an excellent response. Thank you and please keep them coming. I agree we should try and update our forum 'profile' with our whereabouts (which I have done), but communicating like this is much better because by getting a response about the 'event' I can get an idea of its viability. I really think it is a good idea and could be a great event. I like the idea of West Cork, Delhi, Stockholm or Growler's garden in France, but for our first one it will have to be here in England.....somewhere! Please do tell us where you are based - it is a very useful thread. Shine On Michael
