Hi Michael, It is a very good recording with what you used, i am suprised.I assumed it was a studio recording, so a bit of helpful info for myself for my future recording projects.
Yes i have ordered National Debt, but Ron doesn't know this yet, as i think he's missed my email. Not to worry i've sent him a note with my payment for this one. Your sound techniques DVD has arrived this morning, looking forward to watching that tonight. Will let you know my thoughts. Thanks.

Hi Waffle,
I am very pleased to hear you say that about the sound quality. I think if I had done that 30 years ago it wouldn't have sounded great, but with 30 years experience of making records, I did not find it difficult to get pretty good recordings with VERY minimal equipment. There were times during the sessions when the lack of facilities frustrated me, but I found ways around the problems and didn't let them stop the creative process.
Maybe we should have a thread that discusses this....
Enjoy the DVD tonight!
Thanks,
Shine On Michael.

Hi Michael, I recieved a copy of National Debt from Ron, very much enjoyed it too! Plus the Dave Peabody Side by Slide album arrived yesterday from Italy, very good aswell, a surprising16 tracks. Four good duet sessions from yourself and the other guest players.
In agreement with Slide496 with the sound techniques DVD..A concert in my front room by you. This was very informative.I am glad i bought this DVD as i can learn a lot from it particularly the Lap Style performances which i found brilliant and it also brought back memories of the gigs you did at the Spiders Web.Oh... and that 12 string Havana.... the sound...man it's good!!! A very rare beast i bet.
Bye for now.

Hi Waffle,
Hey, you really are a completist!
I haven't listened to the Dave Peabody tracks since we recorded them. I really enjoyed the session and everybody's 'slide' input on that record.
Thank you, I am very grateful for your kind words about the DVD and the records.
