Its funny how things develop. I started the MM Blues Owners Club thread as a bit of fun. I took the idea from the Telecaster Discussion Page www.tdpri.com where I am often luking when I am not on here. They have threads such as Classic Vibe with Pearl Pickguard Club, and their "Show me your... (insert beautiful/rare/modded/homemade Telecaster here)" threads are a joy. I also started it because I was so impressed with my own Busker/MM guitar, and I was intrigued as to how many folk were out there who owned them as well. I guess theres other Busker/MM owners out there that we dont know about as well. I might bump up the MM Blues/Lightning Club thread to see if there are any more new owners that want to post. So then Michael starts the great thread about Where In The World Are You, and its great to see how many players come from so many places in the world. Now comes the hardest part. How to move this from cyberspace, to the reality of a bunch of like minded players getting together in one or more places.

OK Chaps
Without treading on MM's toes re the Where in the World are you thread, you could either here or by a PM to me, state where you as a Buskeree are and them we could think of something for the summer.
It would be fun and a very worthy tribute to Robin and everyone else, including those people in China who build the guitars, to this amazing blend of low cost and high quality.
On this forum MM has to be the Chief of all Coneheads.
I have 3 Busker cones, and if the page on amplifying the guitars appears and works for me may get a 4th this year, something inside me wants a Sidewalk despite the lack of money and too many guitars already!!!!!

Where we could meet.
Well, I rent a fairly big Art Deco flat in Pinner, Middx. The lounge can take up to a dozen, although I only have 5 chairs there! The lady downstairs is friendly and stone deaf. Otherwise the flat is detached, being on the end of the building. Very cold in winter but good for me otherwise.
There are many places to eat in Pinner, from very good fish and chips at about £9 per head to Friends Restaurant at £50 a head.
In the summer we could meet chez moi, have a play either inside or go on to the lawns at the back which are well tended and rarely used. Then off to Pinner for some nosh.
As I say it's an idea but you (vous) may have other and better ones. If you don't mind slumbing it a bit I could probably put 2 people up for the night.
I have orderd a Busker Delta steel guitar. I think the bite of the steel will suit me very well.

It is a wonderful idea and I apologize that I have missed this thread developing. Not much of a cheif Conehead if I miss threads!!!
Thank you Barry. It is a great offer, but at this point I think we are too many for your flat in Pinner. I think we can count on a hundred people if we pitch it right. I don't think your deaf neighbour would be too pleased if a hundred coneheads armed with tin guitars arrived in a swarm one Saturday morning!
I am looking into the possibility of renting a space that we could get an event started. With a well positioned venue I am sure we could get a great little event going that would start as a kind of forum-based event, but could develop into an annual festival - or gathering of CONEHEADS!!!
Shine On Michael.

I think wer are getting our strings crossed here.( Too much Richard Thompson string bending!)

If we have a Busker Owners Club meeting that would be fewer than a TOTAL CONEHEADS MEETING. Both would be brilliant but different.
I don't know how many Busker Owners there are, lots I suspect and growing fast. How many can travel to NW London or Antwerp is an unknown.
Certainly Michael's idea of a total conehead meeting sometime is a very good idea. But the idea of a Busker only meet this year is very tempting. Al has got his Cannon and Sidewalk. I have a Cannon and have ordered a Delta; we should do battle at 50 cones distance (475 inches?)
MM please delete my part composed previous message! Thanks.
