MICHAEL MESSER SIXTUS T-BUG! For the past few months I have been working with Elmar at Sixtus Pickups on an internal pickup for Tricones and we are now almost ready to launch them. We have fitted one into a beautiful custom built Beltona Tricone that Steve Evans & Bill Johnson built for the late Brendan Croker 30 years ago. This guitar is now owned by forum member "Now Then..." AKA Chris Martin. The first prototype "T-Bug" pickup was fitted into Chris's guitar by Kate & Steve Phillips AKA GuitarKes and it is superb. Tricones are not easy to work on and before we launch the T-Bug onto the market we are looking for a few people to test our new invention. We have found our first first guinea pig, Martyn Roper, of the renowned Washboard Resonators, and we are now looking for five more Tricone owners to test these new T-Bug pickups. If you are interested and would like to have a pickup in your Tricone that is the best thing since Highlander closed their doors, leave a message on here (not a PM) and we can go from there. My Tricone has a Y bridge, rather than the T on most Tricones, do I still qualify? It may not fit! Pete

PS. I have one NRP Tricone with a Highlander Magnaphonic pickup on it, but the preamp had failed - so the pickup was wired to a mono jack and I used an external preamp. I'd be keen to try your pickup system on either this guitar,, or IF no modifications to a guitar are required, I'd try it on my 1931 roundneck Tricone.
Many thanks ! (Happy to send money now, or if I decide to keep it, send later)

This looks excellent! If you can't find a real player to take the 6th slot I would be very interested getting this into my Fine Resophonic tricone.
The install would have to wait until I take the guitar to Mike in a few months, though

It is 2cm diameter, but not small, it is similar to the Highlander. Shine On Michael
