Very interesting. Noticed it's understrung, unusual for a square neck I would have thought. Any info would be appreciated. Good spotting Davey🙂🙂

I'd have liked to have gone and seen that guitar - but I'm just too busy with work at the moment. Also, I've had two squarenecks in the past - and I never managed to get any good at lapstyle playing - so there's no point me chasing after this one !
It might need some work done to it (repair crack in headstock, if needed, some new coverplate screws (ooh, I'll have that one covered soon !) and have a good look at the cones inside.
When did they start putting a screw in the back of the squareneck, near the headstock (presumably to help retain the headstock in position) ?

This appears to be a very nice instrument in pretty good condition, that with a little TLC could be a a beauty. I would think it still has its original cones and apart from repairing and cleaning up the headstock and a bit of spit and polish on the body, it should be a great instrument. Nice number too!

What about the under stringing? I've asked the seller for a bit of information but haven't heard back.

What about the under stringing? I've asked the seller for a bit of information but haven't heard back. That was probably done because it’s buzzing somewhere and understringing is a quick and easy fix. Probably done by the seller. Shine On Michael

After a bit of poking around in the sellers feedback, I believe the seller is "CASH CONVERTERS". A shame for the original owner who probably got £200.

Wot about this guitar then? Any bidders? Not me already have a style 2, I am a sucker for a project but at the right price it will end up around £2000 at a guess, then there is the unknown of what is under the coverplate , nut extender to be replaced, cracked headstock may have to come out which means fingerboard off, other than than not much to bring it up to standard!!! Here is mine

wow £3200 + shipping for a project, things are expensive I guess.
Makes mine a good buy at less than that a few years ago

Bonzo, I was pretty much bang on with what it would go for, and that price it’s a good deal. Shine On Michael
