Just an idea about aesthetics; the blue and pink stars remains me some of the artistic expression of my little niece when she saw my fridge as a perfect medium on wich glueing those funny stickers. But of course I won't let this very talented young genius glue anything on my guitar, even if contemporary art may be a good investment, like vintage guitars too. I bet you can get rid of the painting with some solvent and obtain a more subtle simply sandblasted surface, somewhat reminiscent of the stars seen on historic models. My two pennies...

Those stars were put on by me to do some sandblasting tests. When removed they would look exactly like 1930s sandblasted models. This is the test body that had all kinds of test stencils put on it.
