Oh, sorry for my Enlish, but NO I'm not the guy on the video...sorry to let you know that!
I don't see any holes in the soundwell of this poor wood body; it looks more like some kind of felt pads...one more fact proving this test absolutely useless, with the shrunked top of his resonator. (Yes the hand-rest its a pretty good idea, could be risky to trow them away...). I've tried an aligator fitted with a "Continental" type of cone, brand new but buzzing on bass strings.

Oh....I thought that was you!
I can also see, now that you have said, that those are felt pads. Using felt is fine, but it should be a complete continuous gasket, not pads.
Your English is very good. It is my eyesight that is not so good!!! I really thought they were holes in the soundwell. I can see now that they are not. That wood guitar still has a problem, with no neckstick it cannot perform properly.
Well I hope the guy in the video someday sees that I complimented his sweet touch and tone.
Shine On Michael

I tend to write too fast, sorry. Thanks for your kind words about my english. You're right, his playing is more subtle than most of what we can find in the budget guitar demos...I think he deserves a better guitar!
(I'm still searching where I've heard Mike Lewis describing brass and german silver like "Zing-zing" or "Wobble-wobble" (absolutely clear!), do you think it could be in the "guitar gourmet" series?)

The Guitar Gourmet video series was really well made. I think it could be in the Fine Resophonic Guitar Gourmet DVD. I enjoyed my involvement with the people that made those films. Shine On Michael.
