Wowee - I am in awe! great job with the build, the look and sound.
And that Woody Mann inspired guitar looks fantastic too.
Have to say I love the fact that in early pics of your workshop, you have drawn around tools to show what should go where - then put something entirely different in its place ...I love that sense of recklessness ;-)
Cheers, Mike

Just returned from the UK with my new "Continental" cone, biscuit and saddle from Busker Guitars. You can easily see the difference in quality between the Continental on the left and the unknown Chinese one on the right. I have also fitted a set of MM 15/56 PB strings. I must say, it has made a massive difference, more volume/ sustain and generaly a better sound. Thanks to Michael for pointing me in the right direction. Keith.

Hi Keith,
Thank you for your message.
I am pleased that the Continental cone is working better than the UFO on the right of the photo. I am also pleased you are happy with the MM strings.
Best wishes, Michael

Hi all, happy new year! A quick update on my blue reso. I've been quite content with it for the last (nearly 2 years) but something just didn't sound right, so I've just made a bone nut to replace the ebony one that I built it with. It has made a lot of difference, louder and brighter. I know there have been a few discussions on nut material but I really can recommend bone. It smells like having your teeth drilled working it though Keith.

I've heard the ebony nuts are good for taming a steel body, but yes, the bone helps the notes jump out of the wood body.... I really dig that guitar! Good job Keith
