Bet you didn't think you'd see this thread re-surface!!!! BUT... I think we finally have something here... After re-shimming the heel, I replaced the bound ebony fretboard with an unbound rosewood one, it was just too flimsy after all the previous damage, couldn't hold a couple frets over the body, or hold a straight line. I replaced the pads with beefier ones (those pads were flexing under pressure!) Now all the bracing inside was replaced. She's holding strong now, not budging a bit under tension Just a little more adjusting the nut/saddle and we may just be finished! I'm going to leave the fretboard markers off, and just put 3 side dots, I like the clean/plain look Thanks for the year and a half of support you all! I learned so much, including patience! Now I hope to just play her & play her for years to come!
