Found a use for an old collander - and its not a coverplate! The internal diameter is exactly that of the cones I have, with a narrower rim to hold a disc of wood the cone will sit on. I hacksawed the top and bottom off, and I'll try and prop it up from below rather than stick / screw it under the soundboard. Guitar's looking good - even better when the pick-up goes in this week. Hello there Just finished the egbro. Slightly over budget as I paid to get the pick-up / knob / jackpin put in Still under £135 though. Plays / sounds good - might give it some air at the reso-bash. Thanks for all parts and advice; checking out... TT Attachments:

Evening; Although my next project might be a triplate, thought I'd post a pic of the zobro (zombi dobro) I just finished - just needs the coverplate on. - 'no good / dented' OMI body (any feedback on whether its a dopyera scrawl MM?) - 12 string tanglewood neck (thanks pete1951) - with neckstick - offset spider (import duty sucks) - other fender dobro metalwork (not too bad) Total cost for my M32 sound alikey, about £170. Sounds OK I think, although I can't play it 'cos everyones in bed. Cheers, TT Attachments:

Morning I'm gonna convert a tired old egmond (£35) into a dobro. Last one I did needed new tuners, and my old MM tuners fitted perfectly. If anyone has any old MM tuners, I'll rehome them for you and make it up to you too. TT

Half way through converting an Egmond Rosetti (a really terrible guitar - didn't realise they are so bad til it was delivered) into a dobro. Tuners courtesy of MM (thanks). Intonation and action fine! Sounds reasonable!! TT Attachments:
