Thanks Folks,
I know it is a cliche but - It was you lot that made it such good fun. Could we have some names, real or forum, to go with the faces that Andy has posted please.

Well done Percy !!!
Thanks for organising such a great event.
Ron and I really enjoyed the day. It was so fantastic to meet the folks from the forum and listen to such good music ;D
Your brave efforts turned a virtual community into a real community - and that's what's important in this world!

We did it! Thanks to everyone for coming and making the day such a success, and thank you for so many kind & positive comments. It was a pleasure to meet so many forum members & newcomers to our community. I tried to say hello to everybody, but I know I missed a few. My apologies to the folks I missed. We had talked for a long time about a gathering of some kind. We have Percy to thank for finally making it happen Shine On Michael.

Percy, A fab event, that promised much and delivered more...My absolute favourite pic of the day.. Keep smiling!I have a few blurry, badly composed and incorrectly exposed additional snaps to add Chickenbone John kicks off the open mic.. Clive Sheard the (lucky) man with the immaculate slope D Gibson J-45 Deluxe (rosewood back and sides and an ebony fingerboard) and his (partially obscured) dobro playing mate Paul Cowley Clive Sheard and Paul Cowley in full flow.. Marcspark (on left) and mlfowler in black & white rugby shirt (middle) plus in a general view back during the open mic Finally, for those that are interested, (and for those who were unable to make it) a select fragment of Tom Doughty's concert set can be heard here.. Tom Doughty, Live at Slidefest 2010Although the original recording quality is quite good (96kkhz at 24bit), I had to do quite a lot of work in Pro Tools to eliminate the (rear facing) audience noise (which is harder than you think). But just listen to the sound of that Bear Creek Weissenborn playing Sleepy John Estes... Awesome

That ugly chap with arms folded wearing the guiness black & white rugby shirt is me for the few of you I met and talked to. Thanks again for making me feel so welcome!

I'm blowing harp behind Chickenbone John in Andy's 2nd photo.
Difficult to add much to what has already been said. Great fun, excellent performances, very nice venue and good to put (some) faces to names. Huge thanks to Percy for making it happen.
Look forward to seeing the Yorkshire clan again at Michael's gig in Keighley this Friday.
Honeyboy, I don't know if you are in any of the pics. I meant to give you a go on my wooden Delta tricone but didn't manage to work out who you were (it is, of course, possible that you don't look much like your avatar pic). Did you see anything that caught your fancy/met your needs?
Steve

Hi Maxx - ever thought of changing the gender identification in your Forum profile - more than a little misleading - regards David But I like being a 110 year old lady

Hi folks, I have been asked by Tracy Robbins to send a few pics to the local press for a follow up piece - the Atherstone Herald by close of play tomorrow. I know that it is short notice so could any of these splendid shots be used in the paper? Or any others?
Could you let me know 'right quick' as we say in these parts, and of course the name that goes as the acknowledgment for each one. I would be most grateful as I didn't take 'nary the one!
Cheers Percy

Use any of mine Perce, though they are not that good quality. Seeing as I am married to a professional photographer, its a shame that her skill and expertise hasnt rubbed off on me.
If you can take them off the forum Perce, fine, but let me know if you want me to email them.
Your very welcome to use them.
You have a good and decent journo on your local paper Perce, to want to follow up as well as publicise.
