Ha ha !!! Yes, of course ! Lewis does seem to nudge Ian McWee along to get my slides finished & posted. AND when that doesn't work, Lewis sells me some he decides he doesn't want - and then within days he asks me send back any ones I don't want, as he has decided he shouldn't have sold them, ha ha !! Not to mention pick them out for you at his workshop and guitar shows ππ Glad you like them lol

Hi there ! Tonight, I was mostly playing Mississippi Fred McDowell style, as best I can manage so far. Actually, I made the video to demo the latest three Diamond Bottleneck German Glass slides I got today, and one I've had for a while. I totally love Ian McWee's German Glass slides. Anyway, I'm not sure the video does the bottleneck slides justice - as it was only recorded with my iPhone SE (mk2) and it will probably sound rubbish through most speakers, like it does on my laptop !! But ........ that's what I was playing on my reso right now (eh, about 90mins ago !) Nothing rubbish about that matey. A little shout out for your personal shopper wouldn't hurt though π π€£

Private message him on FB and heβll come back to you! It looks a good buy. I can barely afford a beer let alone a whole Fine Resophonic Guitar tricone! I'm just being nosy π¬π Hope it goes to a good home...ideally to someone I know on the south coast π€πΊ

Get in touch with lonelejelly on the forum. He will have some suitable slides for you. Ha ha I don't know where you got that idea from Bonzo..,I only have about 40 or 50 so nothing compared to Messer and co! π€£π To the OP, any number of actual bottlenecks cut from an actual glass bottle be it a wine, oil, whiskey or vinegar bottle will have a natural slight radius and will do the job. Said slides also work fine on flat fretboards too. Like Michael and others have said, it's more about technique than tool (as I'm sure you already know) but if you're curious it's worth asking Ian from Diamond Bottlenecks if he has any 'Redhouses' with a bit of a radius going on. Pretty much my favourite slide is just that π Best, Lew

Coincidentally, I was just talking with Ian McWee. He called me to ask if he could advertise his new model on the forum. I said that it was against forum rules, but I would be happy to post it for him. Recent problems with getting hand blown slides made to the quality that Diamond Bottleneck's customers are used to, has led Ian in a new direction and I have to say that even sceptical old me with 45 years experience is impressed with this one. It sits right in with the trend for sustainable organic products, but is still eye catching, and while the tone isn't as good as it could be, it tastes really nice! This is the new Diamond Bottlenecks Bugs Bunny tone bar.... Oh, and I forgot to say that it was grown from a seedling in a Dunlop Mudslide 266 ceramic slide. Shine On Michael View AttachmentMr Messer, as it's a Friday I will let this slide. ππ₯

Following recent chats about the Glasto highlights here's a quick video of some old Guns'n'Roses B-sides on an Alvarez Delta DeLiteE guitar strung up with Martin Monels (54-12's) down a step to DGCFAD.
Cheers Lew
