Does anyone know what the average weights are of the MM steel, brass, and wood-bodied guitars? I've played a few Chinese resonators recently of pretty poor quality and feel - and also very heavy indeed. I can put up with weight if it's essential, but I'd always prefer an instrument as light as feasible.

Just a thought but due to a knackered hip I achieve discomfort very quickly with even a light acoustic. I now play everything seated including a heavy Les Paul and an MM Lightning using a strap and it makes all the difference, my preference are the Heistercamp straps (no tie ups with me) which although pricey are the best that I have used, very very nice,

For a Blues 28, my rough guess is 3 kg (doing the math in my head from recent airline check-in, taking into account the weight of the case...).

My MM Lightning is 6kg but it does have a custom stainless steel body PT that's the 'unplugged' weight, with the plug in it can be much heavier!
