Hi all, great to find this excellent forum! I have been studying it and found a lot of my questions about Resonators answered simply through reading the threads. I feel like I want to finally get a resonator. I have whittled it down to a MM Lightning or Busker Sidewalk. I have my eye on 2 for sale, the MM is a bit less expensive but I like the finish and 14 frets of the Busker a bit more.
They both look like amazing instruments from the reviews. Can anyone give me some advise on this? How do they compare soundwise, build quality etc? I play music like Beggars Banquet Stones and some Son House style slide (but I am not as good as either!).
Also what is the connection between MM and Busker? I have read some threads that seem to suggest they are linked companies or colleagues somehow? I am just interested, sorry for my ignorance!
Thanks!
Sorry this is the wrong forum! Please move or delete I am being an idiot.

MM and Busker were ,a couple of years or so ago linked, Robin (who runs Busker) set-up MM guitars when they came into the country. MM and Busker Guitars were too much work for him so Michael now has Dave King set them up (Michael also has some input too, because Busker are based in mid-Wales it would have been hard for Michael to look over stock). MM and Busker had several common features but since the split Michael has made a few changes. Robin has a product that works well but has many non-National things about the way they are built. Michael's guitars started in a similar way but he is trying to get them more and more like '30s National guitars so as time goes by MM could sound even better PT
