Hi everyone, I just had a chat with a very happy Dave King ;D As advertizing is not permitted on this forum, I thought I would let you know on Dave's behalf. He is now the official UK repairer for - National Reso-Phonic and Santa Cruz. Along with his repair work for Eric Clapton, Sting and many members of this forum, DK is gaining quite a well-earned reputation. Contact details are on Dave's website at www.daveking-acoustics.co.uk/Shine On, Michael.

Hi there !
Well, I gotta agree entirely !
I just received back 3 Nationals that Dave has been restoring. 3 neck resets, 2 with new fretboards and carbon-fibre truss rods, new frets for all 3, installation of Highlander pickups into 2 of them (the other already had one).
Dave King really brought life and tone/volume/punch back to these guitars - now I have 3 really easy to play Nationals.
A 1930 Style "O", a 1930 Polychrome Triolian and a 1934 Trojan are all now "resuscitated" back to life for another 70 years of fun !!! Let's party !!!!
Dave is the man !!!

I'm confident enough in Dave King's work to have comissioned his first Aragon. When completed I expect it to every bit as good ,or even better, than the 'real' one I own.
The National world has been waiting for a 'new' Aragon for years, and there couldn't be a better maker to take the task on!

Congrats, Dave.
I'd love to see pics of the Aragon when completed. Does it have vintage specs or are there any "tweaks"?

Hi Michael
There going to made the same as the originals, or as close as possible anyhow. I'm getting married this week so not much is going to be happening in the way of guitar making for another few weeks. But when I do get back Ill be posting pics of the build all the way through. Maybe Michael will let me run some sort of thread on this guest book ?
