My good friend Jim Driver (London promoter, writer & journalist) has started a new festival and needs all the support he can get.....so CHECK THIS OUT!
RHYTHM FESTIVAL 2006 is a music festival that's smaller, friendlier and more geared towards the customer. For a start, Rhythm Festival 2006 is scheduled for the sunniest weekend of the year. And just in case the weather falls a teeny bit short of our expectations, there are plenty of indoor areas and entertainment. The weekend will be filled by the best rhythm music on the planet, ranging from legends such as Jerry Lee Lewis, Ike Turner & His Kings of Rhythm, Arlo Guthrie, Donovan and Roy Harper (with Jimmy Page and Nick Harper) to more recent acts such as The Storys, Seth Lakeman and Chas & Dave (!!??), through to an exclusive set by the legendary Trojans.
More details from: www.rhythmfestival.net
With a self-imposed capacity of under 5,000, the aim of Rhythm Festival 2006 is to offer a family-friendly festival for people who like festivals but who don't like rip-off burgers, one-minute-wonder bands and indifferent booze. As well as the dynamite acts on two music stages, there will be a proper funfair, a retail market, alternative therapy field, an upmarket but affordable wine bar, real ales and ciders, a wide range of top quality food at reasonable prices, cream teas and children's entertainment. Plus plenty, plenty more! As one Radio 2 DJ remarked: 'Surely, the Ritz of outdoor music festivals?'
Please help me and be part of the most exciting and innovative outdoor event of the year!
cheers
