Hi Pascal !
I agree with the GS well/pan squareneck Tricones, as opposed to the steel wells of standard Tricones.
My Acanthus engraved 1927 squareneck Tricone (serial no. 376 De Lux) has amazing sustain, compared to the already fantastic 1937 Style 3 squareneck I had. In fact the harmonics on the Acanthus scream out at you, louder than "regular" played notes !!! Not that I am any good at playing harmonics when I want them !!!
Would be cool for Sol Hoopii's Tricones to show up.

Hi Richard I don't think it's just GS wells as opposed to steel - my 1927 Tricone (133 - wild rose) with the extra 7 diamond cutouts has just the same extraordinarily powerful harmonics and that has a blockboard well. There's something extra in the very early tricones!

Hi Mark !
OK, cool !
I've never played a Tricone with a wooden well.
My 1937 style 3 squareneck was the loudest, and with fattest sound but the harmonics were about the same volume as the normal played notes, I think. The 1927 Acanthus one screams out harmonics - I don't know how else to describe it !!
