This one is for the for the true anoracks, discographers and dedicated Casey Bill fans I was doing another Weenie show and came across a track with him on which is not on the Document cd set, nor is it the one with Memphis Minnie. Answers on a postcard... etc

Got you... you win the T-shirt ! The Rising Sun Blues 25 March 1935.. the matrix number would seem to make this his earlist recording. Is it any good? Well, I suggest it was more a collection of what were to become his standard licks as it does not flow quite like his later recordings. I only found this as I was doing a weenie piano show and saw he recorded with Peetie Wheatstraw, something I didn't know as I've never really thought of him as a support artist. I only have this one track and there are about a dozen sides listed, since all my Wheatstraw stuff is on LP I expect the rest are out on Document...... add it to your Xmas list! If this link works judge for yourself.... www.weekendblues.org/Music/TheRisingSunBlues#Wheatstraw-Weldon.mp3ps.... electric lap CBW style rules pps... I regret to say that despite doing everything correctly Mr Micro$oft's rotten program will not post the mp3 link on my site, I'll attend to it later... you will have to wait in throbbing anticipation

I have to give in.. since the two-bit Micro$oft Frontpage rubbish will not allow me to access the mp3 from the web although it works fine in preview mode etc etc etc etc ad nauseum I'm switching to Dreamweaver So, if you want it please send me an email it's only a small file.......... Michael I have put one in the post!
