Hi Roj, I don't know of a DVD 'the history of country blues slide guitar', but it's a great idea. There are numerous films around that cover various aspects of the history of the blues, but as far as I know, nothing specifically on that subject. Any film makers out there.....I'd love to do one! Here comes the sales pitch!!!!! >I have a new DVD out, released by Sound Techniques; it is not a tuition film, it is an interview and a concert - solo performances and duets with Ed Genis. Go to www.soundtechniques.co.uk to buy one. I will be putting some more info on my website about it very soon. Keep in touch,. Shine On, Michael.

Hi MIke
Well i now have a shiny DVD to watch at 3am with my 2 week old daughter. I think Sound Techniques did a great job especially with the sound. A few close ups so you can see the technique etc.. all cool
My missus has even said that she thought you were 'pretty good' and now understands what a resonator actually is (i play slide on a parlour). I also got the Steve Tilston DVD so its a regular guitar fest come nappy changing/feeding times. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi Roj,
Thanks! I am glad you like the DVD. I think Sound Techniques have done a great job. And as you say, although it is not a tuition DVD, the close-ups show the playing very well. I haven't seen any of the others, but Steve Tilston is a great player. His daughter, Martha Tilston, is a great artist too.
I remember those middle of the night nappy changing/feeding sessions! My oldest daughter was born in 1989 and I remember getting pretty serious about watching 'Prisoner Cell Block H' in the wee hours! Enjoy it, my daughter is now 17 and it's a whole different thing :-)
Shine On, Michael.
