Excellent for its fringe! not so good for the main stages but there is a great atmosphere and p[lenty to listen to.
I'm playing at the Lord Rodney on the Sunday afternoon with my buddy Dave "Harmonica" Hyde.
Our good friend Tom Doughty is playing Monday.

The Colne Blues festival is a great event, especially as Phil says....for the fringe events. I have played there twice, but not for a few years.
Shine On, Michael.

Hi there !
Me and my band mate Prof Scratchy are doing some Duo gigs at Colne. Reasonably certain a Sunday evening gig, 5pm at "Lord Rodney" (could have time wrong) Also supposed to be doing gigs at "Dressers" - 9pm on Saturday, 7pm Sunday Oh and 2pm I think, on Sunday at the Acoustic Stage (town hall). Sunday going to be very busy for us !!!!!
We are called "Mud In Your Ear". Worth going, just to see my bud, Prof Scratchy, do some Blind Blake on one of his vintage Stellas.

Hi BJ ! (thanks for your kind comments)
Just confirmed the gigs we (Mud In Your Ear duo) are doing at Colne, on the August Bank Holiday weekend :
I was talking rubbish in my last posting !!! Not saturday and sunday gigs !! Its friday and saturday gigs :
Friday night 9pm - Dressers club, Saturday 2pm - Acoustic Stage Town Hall Saturday 5pm - Lord Rodney pub Saturday 9pm - Dressers club
I reckon the Dressers club gigs will be a better gig to catch my band-mate do all his Blind Blake, Willie McTell etc etc stuff. Got more time for it.
I'll be banging away on my trusty 88's e.piano too ! Might do something at Max's Acoustic stage, if it is still going on ?
Must limit myself to the piano and 3 guitars - but which ones ? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I reckon my Elmore guitar and 2 Nationals
