Thanks Brad. However, there was absolutely nothing I liked about that at all. And why use the aura pedal - that would give a completely manufactured sound too, no? I think the pick-up is likely to be OK - with someone else demonstrating it. TT

It will be interesting to see how well it performs in a different setting. I am very happy with the Fishman Nashville pickup for spider-bridge resonator guitars, and I expect big things out of this one as well.
I would guess the Aura pedal was used as the preamp that Fishman recommends. They didn't seem to be doing any modification of the tone using the pedal as far as I could tell. That video is more of an amuse-bouche than a full course.

I would skip it,, any of these youtubes of piezo bugs are not accurate!!! too much of the natural sound of the git bleeding through, making it sound nice, but as soon as you hit the stage,, that's where the cute sound ends, I've tried everything and they all sound scratchy,, I have settled on a 57 mic pluged into a BBE Acoustamax, and mix that wiht a mag pickup the best I've tried yet is the old skinny DeArmonds , check out Alvin Young Blood Hart,he hipped me to these,,
take care, Kenny,

I quite enjoyed that, I could have seen Amy Winehouse doing it!

Brad, ..."I would guess the Aura pedal was used as the preamp that Fishman recommends."... looked up info on that pedal to find what may/could have been used to alter the original signal...ouch, dollar intensive product there. perhaps all the presets would be worth the price tag, would have to first hand demo for any realistic observations on that. but, for those who seek pristine unaltered signal, the ART tube MP is less than $50 currently. up from about $30 coupl'a years ago so this preamp is winning over many customers. i have read the issued 12AX7 [ECC83 in UK] are less than ideal, but haven't had issues with the ones i bought. did go out and score some short plate mullard pullouts for them on the cheap, but have felt no need to install them yet. the 12AX7 ~is~ a mild compressor on its own, so not loosing that function, and gaining tube "warmth", for lack of a better/precise description. also a great mic pre, and has 48 volt phantom power for condenser mics available. www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/TubeMPmitchfit
