Dear Michael , I'm a Canadian guitarist in a variety of roots styles who is going to Paris France soon and would like to know where to find gypsy jazz guitarists who are performing . I would also like to know where to go to hear them in the city of Paris. Thanks Looking forward to hearing from you on this subject. Paul Dunn banjo5@sympatico.ca

Hi Paul, I can't really help you as I am more connected with the blues and roots scene, rather than the jazz scene. Although London is only 350 miles from Paris, which for a Canadian is local, I am not particularly connected to the Paris music scene. I do have some friends in Paris who are musicians and guitar makers, but they are not associated which the Django scene. However.....I can recommend you visit www.laguitare.com which is an excellent French guitar resource website. I am sure the organizers of La Guitare will be able to advise you. Shine On, Michael.
