Hello Banjoman, You should contact Jan at Daddyslide in Germany. He will make you a slide to your specifications. Jan's work is first class. You may also be interested in my own brand new (about to be released) slide, which is manufactured and sold by Wolfram Slides. 22mm internal diameter / 60mm length / 90 grams weight, and made of a totally new material for slides, tungsten carbide. These slides are incredible, there is no string drag whatsoever, they never need polishing and they will stay unmarked or tarnished for more than a lifetime. They are not a cheap slide at £250:00, but if slide playing is your life and livelihood, like it is mine, it is in my opinion an amazing tool to own. There will be a proper announcement on this forum and on my website about these very soon, but I thought I would mention it as your specifications match my slide. Hi Banjoman,
I totally understand and don't expect these to sell to everybody, just really serious lifetime slide players.
Contact Jan, he will sort you out and his work is excellent.

I can add to the recommendations of daddyslide, I have one of their gs slides. Not a cobolt/tungsten so will need repolishing after time.

Michael,
I tried the Wolfram slide at the last acoustic guitar show, and I have to say the thing is pretty amazing. Having a tapered internal means it pretty much fits any finger size (as you will know). The weight was right on money. The only stumbling block for me was "the money" in real terms. I would say that as a slide player, I would consider myself a "lifer" but struggle in my head to spend that sort of money on a slide. Its not my intention to introduce a negative on your venture as I really think the slide is absolutely amazing, but as to how many people will go for it is another matter I guess. I wish you well.
Regards,
Chris

Thanks you guys, it seems like daddyslide gets the vote. The slides I have are, Glass, Pyrex, a bottleneck and a Stainless, I wanted to try a Phos Bronze and maybe a Porcelain one before I settle on a particular type. How much do's a slide cost off Jan?

Hi Chris,
The slide you tried at the LAG show was a Wolfram 'Martin Simpson' slide. The MM Wolfram slide is made of the same material and finished to the same specs', but it is a totally different design to Martin's slide.
David Browne & I are aware of the limited market for a product like this. It is not being done to make money, it is being done because David wanted to work with Martin and me to produce slides made of this amazing material. The cost of production is not far off the retail price, making tungsten carbide slides of this quality is an expensive process. This is not ordinary cobalt TC that is used to make cheap wedding rings, it is a totally different composite. I know nothing about TC, but I do know a good slide when I see it.
I don't believe it replaces other materials, but I do know that I can do things with this slide that I have never been able to do before. The ease that it glides around the strings....the fluidity of it is incredible. Slide guitar is my passion, my obsession and my livelihood, so buying expensive tools is something I am quite used to. I am just about to order my sixth Calton case, which will cost me £700. Some people might think that is an insane price for a guitar case, but they don't go through airports with their valuable guitars like I do. Sometimes, if I have a few guitars with me, I use 4 sets of strings per day. It's all relative.
Interestingly, people don't mind walking into a high street jewellers and spending hundreds of pounds on a shiny ring that is about 4mm long, but the idea of a slide the size of 15 wedding rings, costing £250, seems to shock people.
I will post a proper page about the new MM slides very soon. It will have all the details, meanwhile here is a quote from the promo blurb....
“When we started designing the Wolfram Michael Messer Signature Slide, I had no intention of re-inventing the wheel. So many of the greatest slide players of all time have used just a piece of crudely cut metal tubing. What I wanted to create with Wolfram Slides was, quite simply, “a piece of metal tubing to play slide guitar with” - and that is exactly what we have done. The only difference is we have made this piece of metal tubing out of a composite that has incredible density and tonal properties, and it has been designed, engineered and polished by highly skilled craftsmen, to such a degree of perfection, that it glides along guitar strings and sings like no other slide that I have used. MM ...2014”

Hi Michael,
I see you point with the comparison with wedding rings, as you say its all relative.
When I tried the MS slide I can't deny that I was tempted. David is a very nice chap, and he said the same as you regarding production costs and how little if any profit is in there. For it to still be fresh in my memory proves the thing is impressive. Feels I'm beginning to be persuaded!

If I ever get one, I promise not to remove it from my finger until death us do part. TT
