Hi misterkevster,
We haven't stopped using the stamp. Are you sure it is a transfer?

...as sure as I can be at any rate!....lettering stands 'proud'(if anything) of headstock, and no obvious 'indent'!!

I can't really comment any further without seeing it, but if it is a transfer, it's the only one!

It is all sorted out now! Misterkevstar's MM guitar has a stamped logo on the headstock, but it is a stamp that was hardly pressed into the wood, so it is almost just the black ink and it gives the appearance of being a decal/transfer.

Myk - I rubbed it off during my attempt to turn it into a DM33. TT

My lightning and Blues '28 are both the same it's just like a painted/stenciled logo. Just sayin' - not complainin'.
Perhaps the ones with a heavy stamp don't have as many bum notes installed.
Bob.

Well my 'stamp' is now no longer....totally nude in that respect! A few seconds with some wax on fine wire wool....not a hint of 'stamp' remains! .....Bum notes still there I'm afraid!!

My 28 is stamped.Subtle but definitely there and no wax nor wire wool is going near it.For one thing I like it there and for another, knowing me I'd end up replacing the stamp with some horrible scratchy marks {{{Shudder}}}. My Delta/MM Blues hybrid has no logo but only because Robin gave me the choice when I bought it and since it's neither wholly one or the other and since it also has a plain cover plate I went with no logo. It does have the serial number on the end of the headstock though.I like that they're all slightly different from each other, each it's own character.
I'm playing what I'm calling 'Dustpan Blues' on account of needing a dustpan and broom to sweep up all the notes I drop. One day I'll do them justice, one day... (the guitars that is, not the dropped notes,I just put those in the recycling bin when I've finished playing for the night)
