Hi Twang1. This is a bit off-topic but you mention "acoustic Jonny Winter" in your post. Is there an album/collection of his acoustic recordings?
I have dipped in and out of his recordings during the 45 years I have been aware of him (I own several albums) and admire his electric playing but I have reached that point in my life where I don't want to add more high octane blues/rock to my collection. He has a huge catalogue (just search on Amazon and it produces over 100 hits), so its difficult to know what to fucus on for his acoutsic output. Up to now the only acoustic JW track I know of is his playing on Muddy Water' Hard Again recording of Can't Be Satisfied.
Any pointers gratefully received!
Slide on, Pat

Hi Pat,
To my knowledge there are no compilation albums available of Johnny Winter's great acoustic recordings. There are one or two early albums of his acoustic material, but they predate his 1969 'Johnny Winter' album and are not the recordings you are looking for. The classic stuff is....
Bladie Mae, TV Mama, Dallas, Broke Down Engine, I Can't Be Satisfied, (with Muddy Waters). I Feel Like Going Home, (with Muddy Waters).

Some others I remember: From “Third Degree”: “Evil on my mind”, “Bad girl blues” From “Where’s your brother”: “Blues this bad” From “Let me in”: “Blue mood”, “Let me in”
At one point I had made a cassette with all his acoustic stuff from my vinyls collection but...vinyls are long sold and the cassette, who knows? Frank
