Michael Messer and Ed Genis will be heading to the Isle of Man next year (2014) as part of the Island of Culture celebrations. In addition to a concert at the Institute, Laxey (a superb intimate venue), on Saturday, May 10 2014, they will be holding guitar workshops at the Northern Lights Community Centre in Ramsey the following day. The Isle of Man gig has been organised by myself, John Gregory, with support from the Isle of Man Arts Council. Tickets are just £15 for the gig and are available from www.etickets.im/jg or by contacting myself direct on 07624 204320 or email bluejohnmedia@hotmail.co.uk The workshops will be £25 each or £40 for both. For those unaware of the Isle of Man, it is a beautiful island in the middle of the Irish Sea which is easily accessible from the UK. The Isle of Man Steam Packet company runs ferries from Heysham in Lancashire as well as a fast craft service from Liverpool. You can also get flights from many of the UK's biggest airports and EasyJet fly to the Isle of Man from some of them. The flight time is only around an hour from London and just 20 - 30 minutes from the North West. The Isle of Man is packed with beautiful beaches, stunning glens, vintage transport and is home to one of the most extreme sports in the world - the Isle of Man TT races! So, for just £55, (plus your travel and accommodation), you can see a fantastic concert and enjoy a workshop with Michael and one with Ed. If anyone wants any advice about travel and accommodation, any further details about the weekend, or tickets just get in touch. All the best John Gregory
