What I've been working on today and yesterday - slide is the RJ Bronze. Took the electric out for a drive. The best part is upgrading to 12-54 John Pearse Jazz mediums from 10-46 and despite what I was told by the (doh!)sales people at the local music store the intonation was not screwed up. The tapping is sketchy but it comes through clear.

Harriet, that's excellent! Your right hand is really strong on that groove and the slide is sounding lovely. Very cool!
10/46 strings are a bit too light for your style of playing. 12/54 is better, but you may find it even better to go a little heavier to 13/56. What gauge strings do you use on your resonator guitars?
My electric guitar is strung exactly the same as my resonator guitars (15/56), that way I get the same feel and don't find that I am being too heavy-handed, which with light strings I do.

Hi Michael, Thank you for your kind words! I use 16-56 on my resonator in D/Eb/G but its the size of an 1133. There's no harm in picking up a set of Messer strings - for the lo tension - and checking them out which I will next time I order

Hi Harriet,
The 16/59 MMs (Phosphor Bronze red pack) would be great on your short scale guitar. The 15/56s are what I would recommend for your full scale guitars.
