I've watched the DVD through a couple of times now and am quite impressed! It starts with the basics - slide choice vibrato etc, then moves on to open G tuning, where the 1-4-5 chords are shown followed by note patterns and licks. All done in a nice laid back style. Then onto Open D and more of the same. There is no tab - none needed, you have to look and listen and learn! Brilliant! Importantly, it all appears achievable by a beginner, which is not often the case with tuition DVD's.... It will be another 3/4 weeks before my Lightning is ready then I can start putting it into practice, I have a couple of self built Telecasters, but don't want to mess with the action on them!.........
Nice one Michael! The older I get the less easy I am to impress!
Cheers!
Paul

Hi Paul,
Thank you - your kind words are very much appreciated.
If you ever have any questions as you go through the lesson, please don't hesitate to ask me.

Best viewing angles of any instruction DVD I've ever seen and both sound and visual clear as a bell. Is there a more advanced DVD available?

I'd guess that the choice of content for a second DVD would be very difficult, as there is such a huge and diverse selection of topics that could be covered....
Cheers!

Hi Mike,
Thank you - high praise indeed! I have considered making another blues slide tuition DVD, but the point Paul has raised is one of my reasons for not doing it. Another reason is that the intermediate and advanced tuition DVDs market is swamped with stuff.
I might do one someday, but no current plans!
Thanks,
