I'm getting reasonably good results in capturing sound from these catalogue ladder braced acoustics, so I thought I'd post a file. No equalizer adjustments but I cut the video into several short pieces.

Hi slide496,
The Silvertone sounds lovely, it has a great sound for slide, but the playing is what interested me. That is the first time I have heard you play and it's very cool!

I just listened again - damn that's good! Harriet, you have really got that down. All those nights drifting off to sleep listening to Fred and Napolian have paid off Shine On Michael.

Wow, thanks for the complements and acceptance all. Michael, especially thank you, thank you for taking time and putting your ear to it, its been very hard to tell without feedback, whether it's actually getting out there, and of course to have someone who is considered a master and whose singing and playing I truly admire, have listened to and have been moved, calmed and cheered by is huge. I will use this sample as bench mark and move forward, then. This forum is a great community to be part of Peace

Harriet that was wonderful, I really enjoyed that. Dang, I wish my thumb was as good as that. I spent the afternoon trying to steam the neck off my 1943 Stella, but the espresso machine threw a wobbly.

Hey Harriet. Pretty good. Well controlled and clear. Steady. Thanks for that. Any more where that came from?
Take care and very best wishes. Keep up the good work.

kiwi thanks. Good luck with the Stella neck! gouranga - Thank you for your comments! So far there's 3 at the channel youtube link itself - but this was the first where the actual playing and the sound quality IMHO was good enough to put on a post in a slide guitar forum, where many of the members are accomplished players and performers.

I am real happy as a member of Michael Messer's forum to be able to show that I am investing some time in choosing equipment and in practicing as the other members here normally do, and to share our common interest in slide guitar. Long live slide!

Here's a new instrumental practice session on the same guitar. Hope the sound comes through ok - I forgot and ran the mic through the mixer instead of standalone.
