I am aware of most of the products out there on book and dvd, but was hoping you all could recommend some that were especially good for standard bottleneck playing technique. I am not a total beginner and would like to be challenged. Also, any of these materials that touch upon the history of resophonics as well as the history of the music itself would be a plus. I know that some books/videos are better than others, and am hoping for some comprehensive material to keep me occupied awhile. Also I wonder if anyone has found this book useful, despite being written in French! elderly.com/books/items/593-2.htmCheers, TN Pat

Really? No one has anything to offer here? I suppose we are in different time zones... I would appreciate any input.

Hi Pat,
I have just got home and seen your message and I didn't want you to think nobody was around! It is pretty late here, so I will catch up with your question tomorrow.

Hi TN Pat, Although it turns this thread into an MM advertisement; I have a tuition DVD available which although is for beginners, I think you may find it very useful. Many forum members and Facebook friends have used it and learnt from it. The DVD is not currently available in the US, but it is no problem to ship one to you. They are available from www.eurobles.co.uk Click here to go to MM website...There are a few threads about the DVD in the Main Street section of the forum. Shine On Michael

Hi, I got my Introduction to Slide at tribotone.com a US slidemaker, but as noted by MM they are not active. They don't have copies on Amazon - I checked. H

Hi Harriet,
As far as I know, Tribotone is temporarily not in business, but they may still have some DVDs.

I stand corrected- I just called and I will revise my original post- I called and they said they might have one in stock, so I don't think its a good source.
