It's amazing what turns up when you tidy rooms, I just found this old recording from a gig in 1990...... Phew....23 years ago! I had forgotten about this line up.
Recorded at the Rising Sun, Silver Street, Reading, sometime in 1990.
Lady Be Good
Michael Messer - Lap Steel Guitar Ed Genis - Rhythm Guitar Tim Hill - Clarinet Arran Jolly - Tuba
We did some BBC radio sessions with this line up, I must hunt them out and have a listen.

Mary Costello show on GLR???
I remember listening to the radio thinking this sounds familiar!!!
Good days when there was plenty of music live and otherwise being promoted by radio stations as opposed to the corporate playlists you get now.

That's right, Lee, you have a good memory! We did do a live session on BBC GLR with almost that line up. I don't think Arran was there (?), Andy Crowdy was playing upright bass.

Hi Keith,
I have never lived in Reading, but since the early 1980s I have been connected to and part of the music scene there.
The Rising Sun Arts Centre was a great venue.
I live about 20 miles away from Reading.
