Yes but I also like this one - especially when she goes into the audience around 5:12. The clips both have maracas. One minute of any and I would need a nap!

....That is a superb film. Such a great band, and with Tina and the Ikettes at the front, it was a show to be reckoned with. Beyoncé, eat your heart out!

The thing that got me thinking was not the great singing/dancing etc., but why did the 2nd guitarist change to open tuning, and start playing over the f/board on `I Think Its Gonna Work Out Fine? This is a (mainly) slide/open tuning forum, I think we need to be told!! PT

Hi all,
Researched the second guy to see if that's how he always played it - I didn't see him in any other performances .
Ike from what I read was with his group from Clarkesdale, Mississippi - so maybe MM's right with the second thought and the second guitarist was taking the place of a regular member of the Review - the group was called The Kings Rhythm of originally.
In any case it worked out fine.

Hi all, Researched the second guy to see if that's how he always played it - I didn't see him in any other performances .... so maybe... the second guitarist was taking the place of a regular member of the Review - the group was called The Kings Rhythm of originally. Bit of an aside, but one that may be of interest. Like slide496 I had a dig around for info about the second guitarist, didn't manage to find out anything about that guy in the clip, but some info on the regular other guitarist in The Kings of Rhythm, namely Willie Kizart, who - as slide496 suggests - this chap appears to be standing in for. Willie Kizart seems to have been with Ike Turner's band from the early days, is held by some to have been the first to use to distortion in a recording ('Rocket 88'). He was the son of Lee Kizart who played piano with Earl Hooker, apparently Willie learnt guitar from Earl and Willie sometimes filled in with Hooker and Kansas City Red when Robert Nighthawk was nowhere to be found! Still now wiser about the 2nd guitarist in the big TNT show, but a little wiser about the guy he seems to be standing in for. Oh well, it made for interesting reading anyway...
