I saw these two last night in Toronto @ The Danforth Musci hall - sold out pretty quick - they did a good show. Never seen a wah wah pedal used with lap slide before ;D
Cheers

Hi Roj, I hope life in Canada is treating you well. That sounds like an interesting pairing of musicians. I would like to have seen that show. I recorded a track called Big Wind using lap steel and a wah wah pedal. Also, some of the early electric Hawaiian steel players created the same effect using the tone control on the guitar. Keep in touch, Shine On Michael.

I have the album which bought direct from Ben Harpers store, I treated myself to a T shirt as well. It has an interesting DVD documentary which has quite a few live studio cuts and interviews giving the background on how a 70 something Harp player (Charlie) and Ben came together for this project. I have a lot of music from Ben Harper including various collaborations and live cuts ect, this one by comparison is stripped back with some band tracks but it feels fresh with a good low down feel and slightly non mainstream approach. I am no music Journolist but it,s a keeper and has been a regular in the car growing the more I listen to it. The T shirt is great too!!! Lee
