Hi, I have just bought a second-hand MM Blues from a well known on line auction site!
I am SO pleased, I sold a Regal tri-cone to get this and I have not regretted it for a second.
I understand that they originally came with a Certificate from MM. The guy I bought this from purchased it from 'Busker' as a 'B stock instrument' but never got a certificate.
The number of this fine instrument is MMB 2 101 12.
I wonder, if a certificate has not already been issued, whether I could obtain one at this stage?
Many thanks,
David

Hi again! I never got a reply from this question but the guy I bought it from contacted Buskers to enquire about getting a certificate. He was told that, as he bought it as a 'B' condition instrument it would not have been issued with one.
This does not seem quite right to me. It is a MM guitar and it does have a serial number so why can it not have a certificate?
It is a great guitar and I play it all the time but would love to have a certificate to go with it, this would make me a better MM ambassador to all the people who have admired it!
Your comments. please.

Just wondering why you need a certificate?, I suggest just play the heck out of it and have a good time!

Hi David, First of all I must apologise for not replying to your first message on the 5th August. Usually I am on the forum every day, no matter where I am, but I was away in Eastern Europe and even with my trusty iPhone, I was unable to connect to the Internet. By the time I got back here I had a lot of messages and questions on the forum and yours slipped through the net. I apologise. Regarding your question about the MM Guitars owners' certificate/manual; our policy is that all MM guitars sold by us, Busker/MM Guitars, have certificates in the case when they are sold. Your MM Blues was not sold to its original owner by Busker/MM Guitars, we know that from its serial number, MMB 2 101 12. This instrument was sold to the original owner by an eBay seller who we pass some of our B stock to, which he works on and sells privately. He is actually one of our employees who works on guitars for us, so you got a good guitar that had been very well set up, but it was not sold to the original owner by us. That is all water under the bridge, as you have a lovely MM Blues, but without an owner's certificate. Please PM me with your name and mailing address and I will send you a signed MM Guitars certificate. Best wishes, Shine On, Michael.

My MM 'second' hasn't even got a serial number. Robin, could you come to the Midlands and bang a few numerals in it when you've got time? TT

Hi Deuce, MM can also do this if he happens to have his serial numbering kit handy

Absolutely! Next time I see you TT, remind me and I will bring my numbering kit. I seem to remember that you went to Wales and got your MM Blues B Stock guitar direct from Robin. I can only guess because you were there and the guitar did not go through Robin's shipping-out system, that the numbering got forgotten. Next time I see you we will give it a number. How about MMB TT1B 11? (the question mark is not part of it... ) Shine On Michael

A personal serial number, now that, Deuce, is cool.
