I think this is just a beautiful cover of Jimi's Drifting. I know it's not blues, so apologies. Just wanted share this and the TAB for it.
Best, Jaco

Malc
Though not a blues player per say, he was influenced by the likes of John Lee Hooker, Johnny Winter....etc. He was born in Texas, and had a love for blues. He mostly played vintage Nationals. I think a 1932 Triolian, and a Duolian not sure what year. He did an album with Jeff Lang entitled "Dislocation Blues." He covered Robert Johnson's "Hellhound on My Trail." on the Dislocation Blues album.
Chris Whitley was actually IMO a great guitarist, a great artist. I don't really know what genre' you could put his music in. I discovered him through listening to Daniel Lanois' Black Dub which features Chris' daughter Trixie Whitley on vocals. Lanois helped Chris Whitley land a record contract with Columbia, after hearing him in New York City. Trixie is very talented as well. She's a great vocalist, plays guitar, drums, and piano. Black Dub features legendary bassist Daryl Johnson and drummer Brian Blade both from New Orleans where Lanois lived for some time.
Yes, there is a lot of great stuff on YouTube by Chris. I'm glad you enjoy him. Chris passed away at age 45 from lung cancer in November 2005.
