any idea on uk price please? cant find one on their website .. Here you go, Jono: linkps. I’ve got one in the “special bronze”, it’s great - if I ever buy another metal slide, it’ll be one of the GS ones...

Jan’s slides are great, as is the service and customer care you receive. Custom slides are the only way forward when you have ridiculous twiglet fingers and need a slide with a 14mm ID!

Just in case you ever want one that isn't tight an idea might be to use moleskin, and idea I got from the forum which has worked out for me.I have cut to fit on the inner diameter, towards the front. Also use the ring finger like MM and some others do, so its not so needy of custom to begin with as a 14mm. I used to wrap my finger with a paper towel cut down, but the moleskin is at least the same way twice, which the paper towel wrap never was. Lawd lawdy, Harriet

I will certainly give that a go Harriet, thanks for the tip! I do like to collect slides like a magpie so it would be nice to have an opportunity to try out some of the ones which would ordinarily be too large for me and play around with different tones.
I’ve also had some custom glass slides made to fit by Voodoo Slides on Etsy which serve me well. I hope very much to add some made to measure Diamond bottleneck slides to the collection this year.

Kris, you most certainly ought to get yourself a Diamond Bottleneck slide or slides. I too seem to have taken up collecting slides!! All good fun :-)
In terms of padding out slides that are a bit big for me, I took Deuce’s advice and put some soft velcro that’s advertised for putting on the bottom of chair and table legs, on the inside of the slide... that or velcro strips unused and leftover from my old pedal board, which is now pretty much just a board ha ha. Both work a charm anyway 😎
Best, Lew

Any imaginable excuse to buy new toys, right Lew! One can never have enough slides.
I will certainly try the fabric inlay trick to tighten up a loose slide for my ridiculous pipe cleaner-thin finger! Actually I do have a fancy bottle of Absinthe with a considerably slim neck I’ve been eyeing up for a future slide and that would make it work a treat fit-wise. The problem is the rate at which it is possible for one to drink something as caustic as Absinthe, I’ve had that firewater for years and it’s not gone down much!
I’m just waiting to hear back from Ian to see what colour glass may be obtainable. By all accounts I’ll be thrilled with the tone of a diamond bottleneck slide but it is great fun seeing the colours and unique patterns the glass blowers come up with. There are some essential rights of passage when you are a slide guitar fanatic and, certainly, owning a diamond bottleneck slide is one of them I hear. Though, who am I kidding, I know I’ll end up with a few more than just one with luck.
