PD,
looked up "DC5 carbon bibaxide" in a www dot search. now i get the carbon bibaxide reference, but am still clueless as to DC5 meaning. did a "DC5" search and got more hits than i could count on fingers AND toes.
something must have got lost in translation from English to Yankglish?
what's a DC5?

looked for Mr. Hallet's "WW3" lyrics to no avail. pocket watch sized non-stereo speaker in lap-top didn't allow a very close audio inspection of same.
but i did stumble on this. liked it enough to post:

leeophonic,
good stuff there. maybe Sierra and the band can lead the "Opry" to a path back home?

PD PD, the Dave Clark Five were also a big band in the USA, in fact bigger than they were here. One of their many fans was a young Bruce Springsteen who based his sound on the DC5’s records. The heavy drums, the horns and even the arrangements are quite similar. I have not based my sound on the DC5, but I did really like their records. So I may have to post some of their music on here!!!! Shine On Michael

PD,
OK, now i get it. even recall "glad all over" from mid 60's AM radio days. can now see it was about their cover of previous MM posting. that song was not one of my favorites either.
i had always thought they had driven the "Nancy Sinatra Expressway" route to stardom. searching them today, i learned that NO members of the band were sons of Dick Clark AKA-American Bandstand TV host. same was my long held miss-belief. at least i got one thing right today.
even a broken clock is right twice a day:

After listening to Carl Perkins I could help playing this song:
"there was a pink and black, a fin tailed Cadillacs, Yellow Sun Records from Memphis were slapback"

Hi all
I’m a huge fan of Joey Landreth and the Bros Landreth. This week I’ve been listening to the 10 Anniversary Acoustic version of their ‘Let It Lie’ album. There are some nice clips of the guys playing songs from album on YouTube.
Check this out:
Enjoy!

"The Dave Clark Five were also a big band in the USA, in fact bigger than they were here." I believe in the USA the DC5 knocked the Beatles song I Wanna Hold Your Hand off the #1 spot with Glad All Over. This apparently was of some temporary concern by the Fab Four. Also the Beatles appeared four times on the Ed Sullivan Show -- America's premiere variety show in the 60s. The Dave Clark Five meanwhile appeared a record-breaking eighteen times!
