Stupid...because my wife don't know it yet Okay....is there any idea? (This is the most important question) Second: If I like to buy desperately an originall National...first one in possible collection of playable intrumenets...where to go? One UK shop has very nice Trojan 37 for about 3300 € + transportationn costs. From very famous shop specialized for vintage nationals you can buy El Trovador for about 3000€ (including tax and transport), Very nice looking metal body Triolian for about 3500 € or nearly new style 0 NRP with Highlander pickup for 1800 €. If you go for Gruhn you got pay about 2500 € for 12 fret Duolian with new Micarta fingerboard. So...maybe there is no reason to buy anything...or maybe ..... I just got look around and try to understand more carefully what I do like. Yours Pertti

Hi Pertti,
I have seen the Trojan and it is a beauty. If you are interested I will be seeing Ron later this week and could have a serious look at it and try it out for you?
My answer to your question is that I would only buy a vintage National that has not been opened and tampered with, or with a new fingerboard. There are some beautiful original guitars around, you just have to be patient!
